My Sister Sam

Image
I briefly remember My Sister Sam in the late 80's. It was on the Monday night lineup with Kate & Allie, Newhart, and Designing Women. Sam was a shallow materialist person. Rebecca Schaefer perfected her really well. The show's low ratings and a crazed fan killed Rebecca Schaefer when she went outside her house to get a package ๐Ÿ“ฆ in 1989 caused the show that aired in 1986 to be cancelled in 1988. RIP Rebecca Schaefer.

Unhappily Ever After

A ghetto version of Married With Children. The difference is their mother-in-law live with the couple. The couple have 2 sons and a daughter. There is a talking puppet named Mr. Floppy that the husband on the show go to for advice. Tiffany was another version of Kelly Bundy with her reddish-brownish hair where she was attractive and all the guys loved ๐Ÿ˜ her. This TV show aired on ABC from 1995-1999.

Who's The Boss?

I remember this TV sitcom back in the 80's. Tony Micelli and his daughter Samantha Micelli both left Brooklyn, NY and moved to Stamford, CT. Tony worked for Angela Bower and she had a son Jonathan Bower. Tony was her new housekeeper. Angela couldn't cook so Tony did the cooking, baking, and cleaning ๐Ÿงน around the house. Both Angela and Tony had their kid from a previous marriage that ended in divorce. Angela's mom was Mona Robinson who meddled when she felt like it. Tony and Mona would clash like mother-in-law and son-in-law. Tony and Angela would clash like husband and wife but had their special romantic moments, too. The show really was Tony and Angela's. Boy did they have their moments. Tony and Angela was the couple. It was a good family show to watch. The show aired from 1984-1992.

True Colors

The second interracial marriage TV show that I remember watching was True Colors. I think ๐Ÿค” that that was one of the best pairing of a black man and a white woman on a TV show like that. The way everyone blended together and how funny the show was depicted during the early 90's of laugh out loud. The show aired from 1990-1992.

Bustin Loose

I remember this show a little when it aired on TV back in 1987-1988. Sonny Barnes played by Jimmie Walker and his girlfriend Mimi. The kids on the show were adopted. The TV Show Bustin Loose aired from 1987-1988. On Good Times Jimmie Walker played a guy who hit on girls a little contrast from trying to set the example for the foster kids in Bustin Loose.

The Ted Knight Show

Image
I remember watching this TV sitcom when it was called Too Close For Comfort back when I first watched on then WTXX channel 20 back in 1985. The show has some funny moments. The show was changed to The Ted Knight Show in 1986. Mr. Rush worked for the Newspaper ๐Ÿ“ฐ company and wrote stories, Monroe worked there, too and lived with the Rush's. Mr. Rush and his boss butted heads Mr. Rush would always be harsh on Monroe. Ms. Rush seemed to get everyone to calm down. Ms. Rush stayed at home and did the cooking. Ted Knight passed in 1986 and the show got cancelled due to poor ratings in 1987.

Married With Children

I was 10 when I watched this TV show. This show depicted what the Bundy's life was. Al Bundy was a shoe salesman and he would always get into it with one of the plus-size woman in the shoe store. He will tell his wife Peg about it. Peg would be at home and watch Oprah on TV and eat bon bons, lol. Kelly Bundy was the young attractive blonde hair woman and Bud Bundy was smart but he used to hit on girls and some women and he used to get slapped so hard by the girls and women that he would hit on that he would get flown across the room because of his sexist comments. Lastly was the voice of Buck Bundy the Bundy's dog. This TV show used to be on Sundays at 8:30 PM on Fox and then they moved it to Mondays. The show aired from 1987-1997.
